La población
El Deporte
Los Mochis cuenta con equipos de:
Baseball: los cañeros club profesional de la liga mexicana del pacifico cuentan con 3 títulos de liga, el último logrado en la temporada 2002-2003, cabe mencionar que esos tres títulos fueron logrados en la segunda etapa y ya con el nombre de Liga Mexicana del Pacífico.

Los Cañeros tienen su antecedente en los "Pericos de los Mochis" de la vieja Liga de la Costa del Pacífico, quienes participaron en 11 temporadas sin obtener Campeonatos.
Futbol Soccer: Murciélagos Fútbol Club es un equipo de fútbol mexicano que juega en la Liga de Ascenso de México
Baloncesto: Los Pioneros de Los Mochis es un equipo del Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico
Ciclismo: Los mochis cuenta con equipos como: Los muertos, Las catrinas, Escuela Municipal de ciclismo, Loredos bike, Bikenax, entre otros. Fue campeon en 1976 en el campeonato panamericano de ciclismo representado por Ruben Camacho.
La agricultura
Agriculture

region are wheat, potatoes, beans, chickpeas, sugar cane, cotton, safflower,
tomato, maize, sorghum, rice, tomatillo and pumpkins.

200 hectares and that there are
approximately 189 thousand 500 head of cattle.Which occupies the 7.41%
of the productivity of the region. The production that stands out for its
number is the cattle of cows, pigs, sheep and goats.
But they
should know that as well as the agriculture has helped the region has also
damaged the environment. In recent years some aspects of agriculture have
become controversial. This is due to the increasing use of chemicals and food
processors, if they continue pulling the organic wastes, pollution will
increase, also if they keep using chemicals in the ground it will become
infertile. If they continue using excessively pesticides, they will contaminate
all the crops. Many farmers use the nitrogen, but if they continue using it,
they will contaminate the rivers, lakes and groundwater.
Today also
the breeding has caused severe damage to the environment. According to the UN
the livestock sector generates more carbon dioxide than the transport sector.
Not only that, if the ranchers continue compacted soils, they will damage the
ground severely. If the farmers continue with overgrazing, they also will cause
the disappearance of the grasslands.
We need to
find solutions to these problems and to reduce pollution of the spaces worked
with these activities, in this way we will continue progressing.
Turismo
La cuidad de Los Mochis cuenta con atractivos turísticos de gran importancia. A continuación te mostraremos algunos de ellos.
Gastronomia
Por su proximidad con las costas tiene una cocina basada en
pescados y mariscos. Las generosas aguas del Golfo de California producen
especies de gran tamaño y excelente sabor, entre las que destaca la lobina.
Algunos platillos que podrás disfrutar incluyen los camarones almendrados, los
cocteles de pulpo y el insuperable calamar relleno. Los restaurantes en Los
Mochis son capaces de deleitar a cualquier paladar. Sus platillos cuentan con
sabores únicos y hasta exóticos como codorniz, paloma y otras aves preparadas
de distintas maneras.
En la gastronomía típica encontramos
Ceviche de camaron, Tamales,Barbacoa ,Birria, tacos a vapor,
nachos, tacos de carne asada y adobada ,
sopes, tortas, hot dogs ,hamburguesas ,machaca, frijoles
puercos , raspados ,agua de cebada y horchata, uvola, pay de queso,caña,
naranjita, arrayan, churros, coricos, jamoncillos, pan de mujer,hotcakes, chocomilk de la preferida, entre otros.
